Sydney PNG students BBQ a success
A BBQ organised by PNG students studying at the University of Sydney (USYD), University of New South Wales (UNSW), University of Technology Sydney (UTS), the Australian Catholic University and TAFE was a success with the event attracting both students and Papua New Guineans living within and outside Sydney.
The BBQ was held at the Burwood Park in Sydney's inner west with scholars surprised at the good turnout and looking forward to similar future events. Kerri Wolfers, the Wollongong-based PNG Wantok Club publicity officer, confirmed the club will host a sports day on Saturday September 17 at the Centennial Park to mark PNG's 36th independence celebrations.
